Every time, I hear your name, all of a sudden the butterflies start to form and so many memories of you cause me to smile. If you truly understood what you do to me, you would see how much I cherish you. I wish I was the one you leaned on when the world starts tripping and don’t understand the light you bring. I want to protect you and shield you from the rain. I want to give you all the courage and support you need to be the beautiful woman you are. Right now, I know that every day won’t be sunny, but your smile will always brighten my day.  If you are looking for anyone who would love you unconditionally, listen to your heart and provide a safe space for you to grow.  Here, I am.  I don’t care about your past, I just want to be the one that you allow to love you in the present and the future. I see the hurts of your past and the ugliness of how it made you feel.  I want to love you until all you see and feel is the beautiful woman you are.  I want to mend your heart and give you the happiness you deserve. I want to be the made that you prayed to God for. I want to hold you for the rest of my life. I hope that I’m not praying a fool’s prayer, when I pray that you see the man that I am and allow me to be the one you choose to love. Every time I hear your name…here come those damn butterflies.

Fallin in Love with You

I want to fall hopelessly, awkwardly, clumsily in love with you. I want to be the man that falls in love with over and over again when I see you. I’m trying to make you smile every second on the hands of time. Like the sands through the hour glass, this is the life was ours. Happiness, laughter, support, dedication and the nurturing of each other’s growth. For years I stood on the rugged cliffs of circumstances praying that our hearts would find each other. Yes, I want to fall in love with the woman you are, I never want you to change, unless you are spreading your wings to fly. You deserve to be placed upon that pedestal and cherished for the woman you are.  I want to share secrets and naughty jokes with you. I want to be the one you trust with your heart, the one that comforts all of your thoughts and needs.  I’m not gonna lie, I want to be your friend, lover and everything you will ever need in a man.  Life has not been easy for me, but I stood strong during the struggles. I remain solid as a man and will never judge another person for their past.  I want to give you my heart, it’s a little dusty. But like a diamond in the ruff, in the right caring hands, it will be priceless.  To you, I want to fall in love and I pray that you catch me. I want us to pray together and pray for each other. I pray that God allows us to be as one and to bless our union. I’m hopeless in love with you and it’s all shut up in my bones. Got me wanting change my name to “Taken”.  Because you got me and I’m not trying to fight the feeling.  I hope when you look in my 4 eyes, you see the love that I have for you. When we embrace I know you can tell that our hearts beats as one.  I want to call, text, email and send smoke signals to tell you how I feel, but scared that the feeling are not mutual. But a man can dream and I do dream of us being together.  Too many, think that a man doesn’t want to fall in love.  But I am a man who wants to fall and in love with you is all I can think about. As I pray a “fool’s prayer” I pray that one day you recognize me and we fall in love.  Like my Frat says, “Teach me how to love”, most importantly, teach me how to love you correctly. I’m willing to put in the work. I believe and its worth falling in love for you. I wear my heart on my sleeves, so there is no hiding my feelings. I Thought I Told You

Waking up to thoughts of love in the air. Praying that I wake up to telling you that I love you. Then off to the kitchen to make you breakfast, I hope that you like cheesy grits, turkey bacon and pancakes. From day one, I knew that you was part of my life that was missing. A woman that would allow me to love her without fear. A woman that understood that my loyalty to her was real. I want to be vulnerable and allow my guarded walls to fall. In you a see a intelligent, strong and caring woman with my heart in her hands. I want to be the man that will love all of your insecurities until they become your strengths.  I want to be your best friend, your personal listening ear and your encourager. Yes, I’m trying to place you on a pedestal and fix your crown. I may not be perfect, but I was perfectly made to love you with all of my heart. With any relationship, I know the work is never done. I’m ready for the work and ready to lay down a solid foundation of friendship. Ready to go water and nurture this friendship into the relationship that everyone knows that God has blessed. Look at where I’m at, like this shhhhhhh makes no sense. Been searching for you all of  my life, but you came and went.  Trying to figure out how our messages got confused amongst us. Been doing my best to become a better man, before I  became your man. Sitting across from from wishing I could hold you in my arms forever, stupid of me for failing to realize all wishes don’t come true. I’m trying to be your first, your last and your everything. I just don’t want to be a good man to you, but your only man.  Like Luther said, this is not a home without you. While you burning sage, I’m lighting these sticks. We both want the same thing. So let’s stop fighting to hide our hurts and start healing so our love can grow. Call me nasty…. Been wanting to eat you like I eat my sweet potato pie…  I want to kiss the softest lips known to man. I want to swim forever in your beautiful eyes. Willing to drown in your sweetness… If I die, I die a man knowing he gave all of his love to one special woman…
